Great Ocean Road Californian Bungalow House

With growing family needs for its new owners, this heritage-listed Californian bungalow house required a large extension.

We created a new modern form with copper cladding for contrast, but we positioned the addition above and adequately behind the original period home so it remained subservient.

The sun-drenched terrace for the upper addition is neatly concealed into the hipped roof below.

This complex build was engineered by Simon Anderson Consultants and well-built by Howley Construction.
