Renovation and Extension in Anglesea
The modern upper-level addition was balanced over the original 1970's beach house on a decent angle to both capture the northern sunshine and provide a distinction between old and new.
The original beach house formed the bedrooms and kids retreat below, whilst the new upper is split from the open kitchen and living to the main bedroom suite by a large glazed stairwell. A large blade rammed earth wall was added to the western façade to give privacy and protection from the western weather.
